"nuventura has invented a new switchgear technology that combines all advantages of today’s industry standard but is free from greenhouse gases. In fact, nuventura’s technology is technically superior and reduces total cost of ownership.
Existing gas insulated switchgear (GIS) are based on SF6 – the most potent greenhouse gas humanity knows. nuventura has developed a GIS that instead of SF6 simply uses the air we all breathe. The technology does not only have the potential to trigger a GHG emission reduction equivalent to 100 million cars, but it also significantly improves the performce of the switchgear.
Today, SF6-GIS have to be hermetically sealed. This imposes limitations on lifetime, reliability and safety while essentially making predictive asset management too costly to be included. Along with nuventura’s replacement of SF6 with dry air, all these challenges are eliminated.

Planet Ark Power (PAP) has invented a world first, game-changing technology that solves the voltage problem from behind the meter at no cost to the grid or taxpayer while significantly improving the ROI of rooftop solar:
Allowing every home and business rooftop to be filled with solar to deliver the maximum amount of much cheaper, clean energy from the sun
Providing the grid with a sustainable business model so we do not end up with a grid stranded asset
Technically it allows for up to a 1,300% increase in the amount of rooftop solar that can be installed on the grid. The current limit is usually 15% of the substation feeder equipment rating that can be rooftop solar.
Our unique Artificial Intelligence (Ai) software and dSTATCOM hardware technology combine together to manage voltage from behind the meter.
Our technology also improves the return on assets for grid operators and drastically reduces CAPEX and OPEX costs to address increased amounts of DER (Distributed Energy Resources).

SeeO2’s vision is to mitigate carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions while simultaneously storing excess electricity in the form of fuels and chemicals for later use. Backed by a world-class research team at the University of Calgary, SeeO2 will contribute to a global shift towards carbon utilization to tackle our planet most challenging problem. Our technology is an economically viable solution to CO2 electrochemical conversion in the market place. It converts waste CO2 into marketable and clean value-added fuels and chemicals. Our technology, which is built on solid oxide electrolysis cells and a proprietary high-performance low-cost electrocatalyst material, can selectively co-electrolyze water and CO2 to produce pure oxygen and syngas (a mixture of CO and H2) that can subsequently be converted to methanol, ammonia, substitute natural gas or synthetic liquid fuels.

Since its establishment, Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority has been though several changes. The city of Sharjah, during the fifties and early sixties, got its electricity from private generators that were distributed around the area at that time. In 1964, “Sharjah Electricity Company” was established, and a power plant was formed for the company in Al Jubail area. Two more plants were added to the company and each plant worked on diesel, generating 250 kilowatts; and a third was added that generated 200 kilowatts and a fourth of 250 kilowatts. In 1968 an Amiri Decree was released stating the establishment of “The Department of Electrical Resources of Sharjah”; the ownership of the Company was handed over to the Government of Sharjah.

SEWA is working towards and putting a lot of effort in spreading awareness to the society in regards to water and energy saving and consumption. Its aim is to make Sharjah the city of conservation.

"SolarWorX is a renewable energy start-up with the mission to provide solar energy to the 1.2 billion people living off the grid, primarily in Africa.
We develop and manufacture solar systems that are modular, scalable and affordable. This solar system is the first to be stackable like LEGO bricks, has a productive use focus to support small businesses and communicates in local languages, such as Swahili and Wolof. They are designed with the requirements of rural offgrid households and businesses in sub-Saharan Africa.
We focus on a B2B approach in which we cooperate with local distributors for the last-mile distribution and maintenance. High initial investment costs for end customers are avoided through instalment payments via mobile money (Pay-As-You-Go).
In addition to stand-alone systems, SolarWorX has developed a microgrid module. Starting with two neighbors´ systems, a DC microgrid can be built completely bottom-up.
